Below is the mine where it all began back in 1989. Old Millclose Mine, Wensley. This is a very old lead mine, which dates back to before the 1700's. It is more like a cave system than a mine, and comprises lots of "pipe" workings, which are probably cave like passages infilled with calcite, fluorite & galena. There is quite probably more workings than are shown here, but they have either not been explored yet or surveyed.
